Makerspace Camp Information

I've had requests to clarify what a Makerspace camp means.  I had a blast this morning with a makerspace camp and we made a little video to show you.  

The short answer is: Robotics is for coding and programming robots.  Makerspace is for building them.  There are still spots available for Spring and Summer Makerspace camps in Aurora, CO near Quincy and Buckley.  Contact me at InitiateLearningCO@gmail

Though it doesn't feel like it with all this cold Colorado weather, Spring Break is just more than a month away.  Come play with us!

Robotics 1 Mon/Tues March 26/27 9-noon

Tot School

Have you heard the news?  I have tot school starting in just 3 weeks. Tot School is an amazing theme based exploration of books and manipulatives intended to be a child's first experience away from mom.  Tot school is a drop off, once a week adventure.  I'm hosting tot school starting this spring and all the way through May 2019.  Then I'll start a year of preschool A and follow that with a year of preschool B.  Most kids that go through my whole program are reading and know the foundations of math before they begin kindergarten.  Plus, we have a TON of fun along the way!  Check out our Tot School theme based curriculum here.  Check out past tot school classes here.  What are you waiting for?  Come over and check it out for yourself!  Contact Miss Amanda at littleadventurespreschool {at} gmail {dot} ... you know the rest!

Robotics

Robotics has become a wonderful part of my life.  After having the pleasure of taking a Carnegie Mellon University course aimed at teachers who are teaching robotics I feel on fire with the love of all things robotics and coding.  I can't wait to share that with you!  I'm currently teaching Elementary Robotics for Cherry Creek School District and I have a number of upcoming SPRING BREAK and SUMMER robotics camps that I'm hosting (not affiliated with Cherry Creek Schools).  Feel free to shoot me an email at nexushomeschool@gmail for more information.

Kindergarten Prep

Hello families that have sweet preschoolers starting kindergarten this fall!  I'm excited to present a Kindergarten Prep camp to target all the awesome skills every child needs to have before kindergarten.  I may not have been able to teach them kindergarten, but consider this a Preschool A and Preschool B Boot Camp.  All the good things smashed together in an outrageously amazing adventure!  Shoot me an email to request registration forms.  I look forward to hearing from you! 

We're On Our Way Back!

Can you believe that the last time I posted here I was THIS pregnant?

Now I have a 1 1/2 year old running around and it's time to start getting the word out that we're coming back! 

Tot School for 2 and 3 year olds will start this summer (2018) with a 6 week session!  The long term plan is Tot School for 2/3 year olds for 2018/2019, then Preschool A for 3/4 year olds in 2019/2020, and Preschool B for 4/5 year olds 2020/2021!

It's going to be AMAZING and I can't wait to work with this wonderful age again.  Do you know anyone who'd be interested in joining our class?  Please send them my way! LittleAdventuresPreschool {at} gmail [dot] .... you know the rest if you're not a robot ... right?

Not to be outdone by all the AWESOME that two and three year olds will get to experience with me I am putting together a few SPECTACULAR Spring Break and Summer Camps that will knock the socks off your older kids (PreK-10 years old).  In the works includes ROBOTICS and CODING levels 1-4, Kindergarten Prep (for all those groovy kids starting Kindergarten this fall), Writing Workshop (for writers preK-2nd grade), and an Electronic Tinkering MakerSpace Workshop.  The ideas are even blowing me away!  If you have an older kid that I haven't seen in a while I'd love to have you come back and learn and play!  If you've never taken a class from me, now is your chance.  2018 is going to be MARVELOUS!!
